Mrs. Stephanie Williams, a master teacher at the school, donated a $100 gift card to Wal-Mart.
Ms. Sherry Mcgee, the school’s speech therapist, was the gift card winner. Mr. Chris West won the laptop and Ms. Ann Rankin was the iPad winner. Ms. Yolanda Jones and Jennifer Powell (parents of children from Ms. Miller and Ms. Wiley's rooms) won the family games.
The 2011-2012 officers were elected at the meeting: Mr. Steve Turner- President, Ms. Salim- Morgan- Vice President, Mrs. Rebekah Dickson- Secretary, Ms. Ninfa Murry- Asst. Secretary, Ms. Rosie Claiborne- Treasurer, and Ms. Love- Asst. Treasurer.
The parent and teachers send a special thanks to Mr. Douglas "Bartholomew" Claiborne, the District #10 school board member, for supporting this event and purchasing membership to the association for more than five families. Also, a special gratitude is extended to Mrs. Fuller (principal), Mr. Colvin and Mrs. Cutright (asst. principals), and other Mansfield Elementary School faculty for their support.
